profession. This session will deal with the topics of crisis
management. While some issues will deal with the use and

applicability to all practicing pharmacists.

Radiopharmaceutical Use in the Geriatric Population
- This session will focus on the
use of nuclear medicine and radiopharmaceuticals in the
geriatric population. Highlighted will be the use of various
nuclear medicine studies in the diagnosis and treatment of
diseases commonly seen in the geriatric age group. The impact
of patient specific age related variables when performing
these studies will be discussed as well.

- CE Session: Current Issues
in PET
- The use of dual imaging
modalities like PET/CT can greatly enhance the ability to
detect and localize disease. A review of the basic
applications and use of this modality will be presented. In
addition, to further improve this modality, the use of
radiologic contrast media has been discussed. This session
will also talk about the use of contrast agents in this
setting, as well as the patient based pharmaceutical care
issues that may be important to nuclear pharmacists.
Finally, a review of drug interactions that can impact PET
studies will be presented.

- This
session will focus on newly approved radiopharmaceuticals as
well as radiopharmaceuticals that are currently in clinical
trial stages. This session will focus on the clinical use of
these agents, as well as various regulatory issues associated
