2004 APhA Meeting in Seattle                                                                                 

Approximately 200 Nuclear Pharmacists met at the APhA meeting in Seattle, WA March 26-30, 2004.  There were 15 hours of continuing education sessions, awards to recognize outstanding achievement in our field, business meetings, and lots of good food and fellowship.

Awards   The APhA-APPM awards night honored three nuclear pharmacists.  Rodney Ice received the William H. Briner Distinguished Achievement Award in Nuclear Pharmacy Practice, Joe Hung received the APhA Award of Merit, and Laura Boles Ponto was recognized as an APhA Fellow.  Click here to view the Awards Booklet.
Nuclear Pharmacist Breakfast and Business Meeting  

Section Chair Jim Cooper presented the accomplishments of the section during 2003-2004. 

Steve Dragotakes and Allegra Bruce from Boston visit with Dennis Swanson from Pittsburgh. Sam Augustine from the University of Nebraska discusses and answers questions about USP Chapter <797>.  Sam is a member of the USP Expert Panel.
Continuing Education, Visiting and Networking Opportunities  
Pharmacy educators Nicki Hilliard from Arkansas and Stan Shaw from Purdue. Two more educators, Jeff Norenberg of New Mexico and Ken Cheng from South Carolina. Laurie & Jim Ponto from Iowa visit with Joe Hung from Mayo Clinic and Ray Farkas of the FDA (soon to be enjoying retirement)
