Medicine Professional,
The molydenum shortage has plagued nuclear medicine for a number of months. The Society of Nuclear Medicine is collecting information about the impact of the shortage in a survey of nuclear pharmacists. Your input is appreciated. Mo-99 isn't the only thing in short supply. Cell Therapeutics has also been struggling with a shortage of cash.
To conteract some woes that we are contantly hearing on the economic front, we have injected a little fun with Nuclear Millionaire. Very timely, with last month's big Oscar winner, Slumdog Millionaire. |

Imaging Prior Authorization in Budget
The White House has sent a budget to Congress that utilizes Radiology Benefit Managers to cut imaging spending. MRI, CT, and other high-tech imaging procedures are the fastest growing component of physician services covered by Medicare, with two-thirds of the money Medicare paid for imaging was for scans in doctors' offices. Cell Therapeutics Sells Interest in Zevalin In regulatory filings, Zevalin manufacturer, Cell Therapeutics, stated that they had only enough operating capitol to last a few weeks.
