Practice Issues in Nuclear Pharmacy
The complexity of practice in
nuclear pharmacy continues to expand as more novel products
enter the market. In addition, the number of studies being
performed also continues to grow. With the current workforce
shortage in the field of pharmacy, regulatory compliance can
become a challenge in the area of limiting dose rate. This
course will review issues relevant to the practice of nuclear
pharmacy including applied radiation safety, particularly with
new and emerging products. Security within departments has been
a high-profile topic, so some insight into these issues will be
presented. Also of relevance to emerging products and procedures
are the reimbursement questions often posed to nuclear
pharmacists. This course is also intended to offer an overview
of the reimbursement process by practice setting. |
