Friends and colleagues of Jim Cooper attended a retirement dinner for Jim honoring his career and the Distinguished Achievement Award for Nuclear Pharmacy Practice.  Jim's leadership and innovations have been very important to nuclear pharmacy.  Pictured are Bob Beightol, Hank Chilton, Ken Breslow, and Jim Cooper.
It is great to see a large number of students willing to attend the 7:00 am nuclear pharmacy breakfast.  Students from several colleges were in attendance.  Representing the University of Arkansas were Mandy Billingsley, Brandy Geiger, Miesha Buckner, Dale Rutledge (front), and April Robertson with faculty Dao Le and Nicki Hilliard (back).

Recruiting Nuclear Pharmacists Making and Renewing Friendships
Rob Seay with Mallinckrodt celebrates March Madness and talked to students about nuclear pharmacy careers at the exhibit booth. Cardinal Health representatives, Jim Stone, Jenny Beifuss, and John Lowry spent time recruiting future pharmacists into nuclear pharmacy practice. Ken Foti, Perry Polsinelli, Gene Shipley, and Rick Sheriff share experiences of independent nuclear pharmacy practice with students and pharmacists on the exhibit floor.
Lara Huggins and Sue Minerich share the virtues of PET imaging.  Sue made an excellent CE presentation about PET/CT imaging for the nuclear section. Former student, Rich Nickel, with his mentor, Geoffrey Levine.  Geoff was named an APhA Fellow for his contributions to nuclear pharmacy. The nuclear cheering section for the awards ceremony.  Clyde Cole, Kara Weatherman, Stan Shaw, Steve Mattmuller, Duann Vanderslice, & Rich Nickel were a part of the crowd.  Kara was honored as an APhA Fellow during the first general session.
Sallie Blair (Cardinal), Kristina Wittstrom (UNM), and Steve Dragotakes (Mass Gen) visit at the Nuclear Pharmacist Reception Mary Stewart Murphey (Low Country Diagnostics) and David Haymond (PETNet) renew an old friendship after the nuclear pharmacist breakfast. Fred Gattis (Mallinckrodt) meet Nicole Peterson at the APhA meeting last year, this year they are planning an August wedding! Fred did a great job as chair of the New Practitioners and chair of the nuclear education committee!
