Nuclear
pharmacists enjoyed a great meeting in San Francisco last
week. Good CE, renewing old friendships, meeting new
faces, and honoring our colleagues were the highlights of
the meeting. Jim Cooper (right) was honored with the
William H. Briner Distinguished Achievement Award in Nuclear
Pharmacy Practice.

- Return of Mallinckrodt
Generators
- Mallinckrodt has announced
that effective April 5 they will restart manufacturing and
distribution of their technetium generator.
Mallinckrodt voluntarily recalled generators on November 18,
2005 as a result of sterility issues in the generator
production process.

- Nuclear Pharmacy e-Community Launched

APhA
recently created an internet-based forum or "e-Community" for
nuclear pharmacy. Stay in touch with nuclear issues and
sign-up for section committees. Just login at
www.pharmacist.com with your username and password and then
click "e-Communities" in the right text box. This service is only available to
APhA members, so this is just another good reason to join APhA.

- USP 797 proposed revision is
coming out in May.
- NRC proposed NARM rules are
due out
- FDA (CDER) is currently
reviewing feedback on the proposed PET cGMP rules proposed.
- UNM Nuclear Pharmacy CE
- Volume 12 of the University
of New Mexico continuing education series will be released
this summer. Notices will be sent to subscriber email
