Faculty Attend World Congress Meeting
The World Federation of
Nuclear Medicine & Biology (WFNMB) was founded in Mexico City by a
group of visionaries with the main task of promoting the development
and good practice of Nuclear Medicine and Biology. The first
World Congress meeting was held in Japan in 1974 and convenes every
four years in a different country. In 2002 physicians,
pharmacists, technologists and researchers from around the world met
in beautiful Santiago, Chile for the 8th World Congress meeting.
Martha Pickett, CNMT
presented "Brain SPECT. Perfusion and Tumor Imaging" and Nicki
Hilliard, PharmD, BCNP presented "New and Future Radiopharmaceuticals
for Diagnosis" and "Quality Control of New Radiopharmaceuticals".
The poster session included the NEO review "Providing Nuclear Pharmacy
Education via the Internet".
The World Congress is
an excellent opportunity to meet with leaders in the nuclear medicine
from around the globe. It is also a chance to soak up the
culture and beauty of another country. The 9th World Congress of
the World Federation of Nuclear Medicine and Biology will meet in
Seoul, South Korea in 2006.
