Drug-Radiopharmaceutical Interactions

Program Description

This program will review some of the more common or more significant drug-radiopharmaceutical interactions.

This is a knowledge based activity for pharmacists.  Learning Objectives: 

1.  Describe common drug interactions with radiopharmaceuticals, including the mechanism and significance of the interactions.
 
2.  Describe how medications may alter the biodistribution of radiopharmaceuticals.

3.  Explain how drug-radiopharmaceutical interactions can impact patient care outcomes.

4.  Describe resources (websites, publications, etc) to aid identifying interactions.

Instructions

  1. Complete the Drug-Radiopharmaceutical Interactions online lesson
  2. For CE credit create an account in the Moodle learning management system   (you will receive an instant email with your login information), if not check your junk email box because the spam filters may have hijacked it)  Do not login as a guest.
  3. Go to the "Drug-Radiopharmaceutical Interactions" course in Moodle
  4. Complete the 20 question quiz in either the Pharmacists or Nuclear Medicine Technologist Section, accordingly
  5. Complete the program evaluation
  6. Print your ACPE or VOICE certificate
